O2 Broadband Free Laptop Deal
Hello,
Right i dont know where to start, visited a relative of mine in Leeds on the weekend, his mate works for O2 in one of there offices up there.
He tells me that during Feb 2009 they will have an offer to new customers for mobile broadband with a free laptop (12month contract) now the tariff he said it would be seemed extremly cheap too cheap(he may have got that wrong).
But when i rung O2 they were a bit sheepish but did say within the 1st two weeks of Feb there will be such a deal: he would not give me a price or a live date.
I gathered that you would need to be a O2 mobile customer and then, prob the price of the broadband on top.
So if anyone knows how to get MSE to find out about it or can shed some light to this let me know.
Either way keep your eyes peeled.
Ps my brother in law said £7.50/month......i would imagne that you add you mobile contract on top of that.
VJ
and pls dont have a go if im wrong.....

I've not heard such a deal. We recently had a meeting about the new tariffs and it was mentioned we would see tariffs including a laptop deal for 24m contracts but this was for 3rd party dealers such as CPW.
There is going to be a new dongle out soon though, not sure how much info we can release on that but its nothing to do with a laptop.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
like i say i dont know if my BinL has got it wrong: but the guy on the phone did say there will be a laptop incentive....just keep looking out for it!0

MobileToday mentioned this awhile ago.
Note:
The laptops will not be offered for free, but will be discounted when bought as part of a mobile broadband contract.

These offers have been going for months in CPW, so it wouldnt surprise me if O2 decided to have a go themselves.
Im sure there are/will be some good deals, but most that Ive seen, the laptops arent that great and then you get tied you in for a long contract (Generally 18-24 months) which means you pay over and above the cost of the laptop anyway. I know it business at the end of the day, and there no such thing as a free lunch, but just make sure you know how much you will have paid over the length of the contract as opposed to buying a paptop outright.0 -
I know, its never free, personally i now have to pay for my broadband which was free with my sky package.0
