I'd check ebay first, for example:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bush-19-HD-LCD-TV-Freeview-DVD-Combi-PC-Input-LY1911WCW_W0QQitemZ270533435914QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_Televisions?hash=item3efd0ca20a#ht_1924wt_941

.. maybe not as good as the argos deal, but you can get much cheaper if you're prepared to go for a used set

    Hi,
Can anyone give me a bit of advice. I am about to take a new mobile phone contract out and they have an offer on where you get a free LCD tv. the info on the website is as follows ~:
FREE 32 inch HD Ready TV

    • 32" HD-Ready LCD TV • 1366x768 Resolution (720p) • Integrated Freeview Digital Tuner • 450 cd/m2 Brightness • 700:1 Contrast Ratio • 8m/s Response Time • HDMI, SCART, Component & Composite • Wall-mountable

What do I need to do to make this tv work with bluray and skyhd, freeview hd etc.
Sorry to sound a bit dim, Im not up on this technology lark.
I just want a basic tv for my bedroom that will work with my skyhd and eventually a bluray player.

    Thanks in advance

For full HD it should be 1080P. For BluRay, Freeview HD & Sky you would need 3 HDMI slots to get the best out of the picture. You can buy HDMI switch units if the TV doesn't have enough HDMI connections. The specs don't look great but I expect for 'free' it will be good enough.
    Nice to save.

Thanks for that, they are also offering a 32 inch Toshiba Regza hd ready with built in freeview for an extra 30 quid so might be best going for that one.

I don't know what the original LCD was, but I would pay the extra for the Toshiba.

  • Trying to help my mum buy a 22" TV for conservatory/bedroom use. I've found Sony Bravia 22" E5300 LCD TV for £299 which appears to be a good price for a good tv. However, am I just setting my sights too high. Would it be better to buy a cheaper set, eg Toshiba Regza AV615DB for £195 or LG 22" LCD TV with built in Freeview 22LG3100 for £205. Mum wants a good tv, can afford the price but at the same time don't want to waste her money. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks

PS I think I've done this wrong and hijacked someone elses post - sorry!
