May Bank Holiday Sould Be Cancelled

As a gesture of goodwill towards our employers who suffered from our absence from work yesterday I suggest that we cancel the May Bank Holiday.

I work for myself and have given me a damn good talking to for not coming in to work yesterday, I bought myself a sausage sandwich in the canteen (the kitchen), (because I felt guilty at the way I had spoken to myself) told me not to do it again, then gave myself the day off, as it wasn't worth starting work now.
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.

Why don't you lead by example and see if it catches on?

I think we should work the May Bank Holiday, AND donate the pay to our hard pressed banks, so they can finally be properly capitalised.

My OH drove up to London in blizzard conditions yesterday, taking several hours to do so and when he got there the site was closed. This is all very well but if he doesnt work he doesnt get paid. So yes, I'm sure he'd welcome this opportunity to work to make up his money.

1 day of UK GDP is only about 7bn and RBS alone just wrote off 20bn of losses, so we're going to need about half a years worth of donations ok? thanks :D:p
