which is best for usa & pakistan?

hi all,

i am really confused in selecting that which package should i choose for. calling usa & pakistan?can anyone please help me in decidind that which one is the best?is 1866 better one?or 1899?or any other network?does the connection charge are per min i.e foe 1866 is it 1p/min and for 1899 it is 3p/min or they are justy chargrd at begginning of call?i will be really grateful...please help me out!

The connection charge on 18866 and 1899 is charged per connection, not per minute.

Pakistan is 2p per minute using Telestunt.co.uk. You dial 0871 999 41 41 then after the prompt, dial the full international number. You will receive the charge from BT for this call.

Use Telesavers.co.uk for 1p per minute calls to USA. You dial 08448 615 615 then after the prompt, dial the full international number. You will receive the charge from BT for this call.

Charges for these calls may be different if you are not using BT.

thanku steve for your reply.I am using telewest,if i use telesaver or telestunts then the no. to access will be charged by telewest as their local rates?do telestunt and telesaver also charge for the connection fee or is it free?however if i use 1899 and 18866 then i will be only charged for the connection fees?am i right ?please clear my doubt regarding it?i will be really thankful

if you use 1899 the charges to pakistan is 12p/min and also a 3p connection charge per connection(not per minute). There will be no additional charge by the phone service providor.

Telestunt etc get charged directly by the phone company and there is no billing from telestunt/telesavers etc.

If you are calling Pakistan landline then use telestunt/savers at 8/9p/minute and if you are calling pakistan mobile then use 1899 and the cost would be 12p/minute.

USA the best is to use 1899 with 0.5p/min plus a 3p connection charge.

I think you are wrong to 'promote' Telestunt for calls to Pakistan (on which the price is 10p - not 2p - per minute BTW) when the MSE Callchecker shows 3 cheaper routes:

Telesavers 8p/min (08715514514)
CheapestCalls 8p/min (08715511515)
Ratebuster 9p/min (08713565656)

Similarly, I think you are wrong to 'promote' Telesavers for calls to USA when the MSE Callchecker shows 1899 (3p connection + ½p per minute) is half the price - except, possibly, for calls shorter than 3 minutes.

The use of the word 'promote' above could be taken two ways - which was why I put it in single quotes to try to emphasise that I meant the 'move up the league table' sense rather than the 'recommend' sense.

i have used well i tried to use telestunt to call pakistan and saudi arabia and and it was just waste of time and money.

the call quality was really bad and sometimes i think its not worth the hassle just to save few pennies :-X

i use 18866 for pakistan/usa

planet talk for saudi arabia/usa

talk talk rates are not too bad for the weekend to pakistan

there might be other good quality providers cheaper but i am happy with the companies i use ;D

Just to add even though the Telestunt websites say the cost to call Pakistan is 10p (I think) when you actually call the first voice says this amount but the second one actually says 15p!!!

Not as cheap as you may think!

i have been charged on my last month bill , calls to pakistan from telestunt at 8p/minute, charged by the second.

forgot to mension that calls to pakistan mobiles are only
5p/minute from telestunt & charged per second billing on my bills from bt & talk talk!!!
