    Thanks for the responses guys.

    I will not be paying this, I was tempted not to anyway, but glad of the support.
    Just wanted to know is it even worth firing off the standard letter on this site to appeal against it?

    You CAN fire off a letter to them, if you are prepared for the ever-more threatening letters you will get from them. Using bigger and bolder type and even scary colours. If you think you can withstand all this, or want to play along with the game, feel free, but if not, best to ignore them.

    No, don't enter into any correspondance with them - All that serves from their POV is to confirm you were the driver & they will hassle you all the more for it.

    There is a point where you may need to ask them to put-up or shut-up by issuing a cease & desist letter but it is highly unlikely that you will get that far with a PPC.
