I don't know what happened with the ccleaner, i don't think i did a registry scan it just seemed to erase something which i needed & someone on here told me i had to go back & undo the history. once i did that it worked fine again.
speaking of things going funny...is it just me or have the boards just gone funny looking?
The boards lost there formatting for a mo...... Ok forget ccleaner if you think it caused a problem, that aint a lot at all on yer hard drive....
I would burn all your music onto CDrom and then take off PC to see if that helps, also try a defrag aswell whilst your at it.0 -
thanks, will try that!0

Hi
You can gain more space by changing the settings on system restore, if you use it and also the recycle bin.
If you go into system restore, you can use the slider to decrease the amount of space that its saving for system restore.
Right click Recycle bin, Properties.again you can change the settings to decrease amount of space.
These are 2 quick fixes if your really short of space.
Hope this helps0 -
thank you, i've just done that now0

Also try disk cleanup... The thing is whatever you try you wont provide
a long term solution and also if you do get the XP updates (its a must really)
youll just be back to having a bloated PC again..0 -

Try doing a search for all files with sizes greater than 10000kb to see if you have any big files eating up your hard drive. You could also compress files, in explorer, which may free up a lot of space.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Clear out your temp internet file, Open your browser got to TOOLS> Internet options
On the genereal tab click delete files. Then go to the advanced tab and scroll to the bottom tick " Clear temp internet files whan browser is closed"
