Cheap phone on Virgin network and query on airtime vouchers

I've managed to finally break my trusty nokia 1100 (dropped it one time too many), and I'm looking for a replacement. I don't use my mobile a lot - typical bill is less than £2 a month (on pay as you go by direct debit with Virgin). What's my best bet for a cheap but sturdy phone, and where from?
I take it I'll need one that's already on Virgin, or unlocked, and then I just put my existing sim in and carry on as before? Also, am I right in thinking that I won't be able to use any airtime vouchers which are included in phone prices since I pay by DD rather than top-ups?
Cheers,

Thanks - could be just the thing. I spent ages at the weekend looking for a cheap phone, including checking the virgin site, but I didn't spot that one. Duh! Must have eyes tested.
It's £14.87 once postage is added - can anyone find anything cheaper?

Is there any point in my looking at phones on other networks? I'd assumed that unlocking would cost too much to make it worthwhile.

i've sent u a PM with a bit of advice, as well as that you could enquire about your crave allowence to see if you are entitled to money of a new phone - although i doubt it very much looking at your monthly spend0

i understand that virgin and t-mobile share same network, (correct me if i am wrong), so your virgin sim should work in it. thinking of getting this myself as well.
lg kp100 is a basic phone 9.78 on tmobile site with free delivery.
maybe this is suitable for you.Nice to save.0 -

Oooo - thanks, that's a useful tip - widens my options. Would I need to change any of the settings on the phone, though - like SMS message centre or voicemail number?
