hi there, you've definately come to the right place if you want to reclaim the ppi yourself - you'll get loads of help on here !!
However, if for whatever reason you don't feel upto making the reclaim yourself I work for a claims company and I give a discount for anyone that may come through mse, but like I said you'll get loads of help on here !
I have just posted my loan details on here , maybe you can check them and let me know.
Thanks0 -
Hi everyone
I today got a reply from mbna they are refunding 1500 to my credit card which I am thrilled about. But this card was originally taken out with alliance and Liecster . When I first put my mis sold claim in I wrote to A+L but they wrote and said mbna were now the provider so its upto them to refund they passed the complaint on. mbna have only refunded till 2003 but the card was originally taked out with A+L in 1996 can I go back to A+L ask them for the previous years of this card as they were the ones who sold me the policy in the first place0 -
Hi All,
Only just got round to thinking about doing a PPi misselling claim although I joined a few months ago, whoops!
Anyway, just need a little advice about it and perhaps some others experiences related to what I wish to reclaim....
I took out a loan with RBS in 2006 for £24k plus interest and PPI over 84 months. Due to a change of circumstances I have paid off the loan in December 2008. Anyway, at the time I took it out I was struggling financially and the customer advisor swapped my current account to a fee paying Royalities account and that PPI was part of the deal otherwise no loan.
I paid 31 months of payments before settling early so am I right in assuming that I can at least dispute the 31 months PPi that was paid?
Also, I previosuly had a loan with Sainsburys Bank of £8k plus interest and PPI which started in 2002 and this ended in 2005. Again, the PPi was advised to be conditional to obtaining the loan. Can anyone advise if this is too old to pursue as have seen 6 years mentioned as the time limit? (not sure if that means since the agreement started or ended)
As a footnote I have the paperwork for both loans.
Cheers for any advice you may have.

Hi there Mollymoo, hope your well hun.;)#
Well done on your success......:beer::T:beer:
I think if you have any details of your paperwork going back as far as 1996 with figures, I think then you can request they refund you from then on.
I assume they do not have these details themselves if they have not gone back that far, but if you have the paperwork, send them the copies and ask them to consider paying as far back as 96.
Hope this works out for you, fingers crossed.;)XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi and welcome Sminty.;)
Yes you can reclaim for all the PPI on all the above accounts with your reasons, go for it.
Many have been successful in reclaiming as from the 1990's.....so do give it a go.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond, keep at them, and below a helpful link to help you through this, with template letters, and a checklist of mis selling reasons, if any of the reasons apply to you as well then write them in your letter, do not worry about writing down the amounts down though, you should be provided with a written breakdown if successful.
Post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting.

Good luck with all these, ask for help anytime and please keep us posted, cheers.;)

Hi,
Just to update on my situation, HFC finally paid me my money 3 days before xmas, £1300 was paid direct & PPI removed for the last 3 months of my loan what a result! Just done the same thing with Egg before xmas and got a letter on Saturday saying they were still looking into my claim......then a further letter today saying they would pay £5170 back into my account within 7 working days....can't believe that neither company has put up a fight....probably one of the best days of my life today, I will be paying off my credit card in full + store card with plenty left for a lovely holiday for my family knowing that by the end of summer that I will be debt free....I can't believe this huge burden will be finally lifted through no one's fault but my own mind you!
I have finally learnt to control my finances & to put hard work in then you will succeed, thanks for all your kind comments and I wish you all well with your claims & from experience know that anyone can turn debt around as I am proof that it can be done......now off to enjoy my life without constant worry!

I took out a loan for a conservatory, it was sold by a window/conservatory company agent but the loan itself with ppi was with GE Money, I have written both letters and GE are saying that I need to contact the window/conservatory company to claim against them, is this correct or are GE trying to get out of it.
I received a letter back saying that because the loan was taken out before 14th January 2005 that it was known as preregulation and was deemed I had chosen freely to purchase the Insurance. They have told me they do not agree that the policy was missold. Should I continue?0
