    Hi folks

I did send MSE Wendy a PM last night in regards of the Petition, am waiting to hear back, have asked if Wendy can either get back to me by PM or to post on the site about this matter, such as if we have permission to do this on this thread or maybe elsewhere on the site.;)

I am posting in "safe mode" again lol, so everything is huge on here, must try to get some stuff done to the puter as well, unfortunately I am having problems getting on here normally "again".

Anyways, back to the petition, if we are given the go ahead, we need someone who are good at wording and a "subject line", so are any of you up for this?;)
I know most of us are for it and want to get signing, so hopefully we shall hear something soon.

    Hiya,
please can i have some calculation help.

I received a letter from bos stating i was receiving a refund of ppi payment made to a loan i took out in 2004 for £25k. The breakdown as follows.
    £20003.39 - settlement figure paid 12/06
£17294.76 - recalculated settlement fig(with no ppi involved)
£2708.63 - overpayment which has been refunded to you.
Another cheque will follow in the next 14 days for £758.60 this is for 8% compensatory interest.

Am i being relly dumb? is the figure of £2708.63 for the 2 years payments of ppi i paid along with the loan or have they not taken this in consideration. It looks to me they have only looked at settlement and not considered the payments i paid with this loan for 2 years before i paid it off.
Any help from Marshallka or anyone doing calcs would be great x
    regards
    deborah46

    No your not being dumb.;)

I'm sure your calculations will be looked at and checked by someone at some point today. X

    Hello

I have asked Direct Auto Finance several times for a Final statement on my insurance complaint but they keep refusing. I have now written to the FOS but I am worried they won't do anything without the Final statement. Is there anything else I can do?

Also I have been waiting over 8 weeks to here from the FSCS about a claim against London Scottish - should I chase them?

I also think a petition is a good idea.. is there a link yet?

    Hi Deleted_User.;)

I'm sure when it comes to the FOS needed the information then Direct Auto Finance will have to supply this to them. This should happen when your case has been passed on to them, and when they require all the information in order for them to investigate, so try not to worry about this, you can as well contact the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and ask if they can chase the business up for you.
    https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx

With the FSCS, you may be aware now by reading on the discussion thread that they do not rush, my case have been with them for over a year, although its been some time since I made contact to them to find out where I am with "twopart ltd", but there is no harm in giving them a ring or sending them a quick email for an update, as I am aware that London Scottish are already in Default, so basically you would think they would have dealt with this one by now.
Give them a call on Monday, let us know what they say, good luck.;)

"with NatWest and PPI claims if they have loans opened prior to October 2002 then if they have done a SAR they should ask for Archived notes which should include details of loans and PPI if included. " This was the advice I was given, ask for archived notes or complain to the ICO who should help.

My first loan was open prior to 2002 but since then i have had 4 more loans off them which were all opened after this date. Should this information still be kept by them?

Hi everyone. Havent been on for a while. just thought I would come on to share my update. although I am rather confused after reading news on here that Ocean Finance have gone into liquidation.

I got a call from the adjudicator at FOS saying he is looking at my complaint against Ocean Finance. He asked me a couple of questions and said he will keep me posted. Surely he would have known if they gone bust wouldn't he?

    Hi hun

Yes I take it they would be aware, not unless Ocean had a few ltd companies??
When did they actually go into liquidation and when did you take your finance out with them?

hi all i hope you are all well!

hope you can give me some advice, i sent 2 ppi claims of to the royal bank of scotland at beginning of may and recieved a reply back about the current loan offering £750 gratis payment which i refused and sent to the fos, the other account is still with the rbs and i recieved a letter this morning asking for more time to gather information or advising that i can now send this to the fos.

what would you do considering how long the fos take dealing with these complaints.

    thank you

    Hi there

    Good luck with these then.

If it were me, if and when the 8 weeks have passed, the ball is in your court, if you want to give them your own timescale, like for example 14 days, then take it from there.
Yes your right the volume of these complaints are extortionately high with the FOS, but it may be all worth it in the end, also let them know as well if your in financial hardship, if this is the case ask if they are able to fast track, and supply copies of any evidence to support this.

However, even fast tracking is currently taking longer, as there as so many in this category as well.

Good luck and hope you hear some good news soon.;)
