Best to wait for the breakdown from the bank to be honest,if you get this and then post the figures someone may be able to help you.

Our maths wizards dont seem to be here at the moment :D

If you get the figures and they are wrong you can go back to Lloyds and ask them to pay the correct redress,if you get a letter to sign to accept the redress, dont sign until you have the breakdown of the figures.

This refund may not be the entire redress for all loans,so it is best to wait for the calcs from the bank.

Mum received a letter today explaining the breakdown. They have included loan 1 and 2 together so she is still waiting to hear back about loan 3. The breakdown is as follows (figure have been rounded):

    Loan 1:
    Refund of premium - £270
    8% Interest till Jan 2012 - £165
    Total - £435

    Loan 2
    Refund of premium - £2375
    Early settlement difference - £515
    8% Interest till Jan 2012 - £1175
Excess Balance and Interest - £275
    Total - £4340

Does this look about right? My post with figures:

Well after having success with Sainsbury's/BOS and better still being paid I have unearthed a 20 year old credit card that is still in use (was used quite a bit 3 years ago when moving house) and it has PPI included, so I am putting in a complaint tomorrow and will let you know how it progresses.
Started off as Alliance and Leicester and is now MBNA, nothing to lose and will FOS it if not happy with response;)

Hi Dilus, OH has just logged complaint with MBNA for cc he has had since 1994! OPs on here seem to have had a quick response from MBNA, perhaps you will too:)

Here's hoping, it's the only other thing I have to go for :) only expect them to go back 6 years max and it's never had a big balance until 3 years ago when we moved to a brand new house, if it's upheld we might recover the cost of carpeting the place before we moved in ;)

Hi,they look right, the remaining ppi from loan one was put onto loan two and they have given you this back with the redress for loan two.
You still have one to come, not sure what that will be,as the ppi from loan two that was carried over will be on this redress.
Ask them to look at the loan from 03 to 04 (is this before loan one?)
if it was ask them if all loans are being redressed that you put mis sell claims in for..
  • Hey guys and girls,

I've just started on the journey that many of you have already completed (getting money back from those shocking institutions), and would like a few pointers if possible...

Basically, I'm trying to see whether I have the right to claim first of all, as I honestly have no idea if PPI was added to any of my accounts. I had a loan and credit card with Egg, a credit card with Barclaycard and a car loan with Black Horse. The Black Horse one stared in 2005 so I'm not sure I can claim there, but wanted to know how I even find out if this is possible WITHOUT any paperwork or account numbers?

I've been on Equifax and got my credit report showing the list of accounts that I've opened etc etc, but no specific account details.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.:)
  • Hi all

    We were after some advice.

We were rejected by MBNA back in August, so went to FOS who upheld our case we have been waiting for calculations.

We recieved a letter today saying we are being refunded our ppi

Premiums paid from date of sale total £1654
    plus interest £7500
    and 8% £249

Which is great on one hand..... On the other we have had the card for 15 years and for 12 of them have paid ppi on it. We know that we have paid at least £3000 in ppi since start date 1996. On some statements alone for the years 2007 and 2008 it came to £1600 we had a balance of £8500 and were paying £69 per month.

What do we do its says final offer, and they've followed guidlines but they havent told us how they came to the figure or how they have worked it out.

Also our letter says from FOS that they are to put us back into a position we would have been without ppi. I don't know how they have seemed to have lost £1500 at least worth of ppi.

    Any help very much appreciated.

    Merry Christmas to all.

Hi guys these banks are incredible arn't they? you all know i had an uphold through the fos with barclaycard after being rejected originally, well i've been waiting for calculations and after chasing diamond i've had his minions now say that i did'nt have ppi after all, they can now find no trace of it on my morgan stanley card (according to them) so they arn't going to uphold it now, even the fos don't know what these clowns are doing so it'll be going back there what do you all think of that?
