Right this is something that I should know really, but am vervous today in waiting for an opinion from the FOS in regards of a case that's been with them in almost 3 years.......so please bear with me for being dizzy today.........not that I'm any different any other day :o:o:rotfl::rotfl:.

Now is GE Capital the same as GE Money?
Because when I google in GE Cap then you can click on the link for GE Money but its back to GE Cap anyway........

GE is General Electric, who is the parent company.

    This explains it

I have just had a conversation with the manager of the complaints department and we have reached an amicable agreement :rotfl:

Basically, I told him that if we were to use the prevailing APR and take 9/12ths of it for the 9 payments, it would amount to just under £30, which it probably wouldn't as the first payment would be 9/12ths, the second one 8/12ths and so on.

He just said, shall I add £30 onto the £233 offer and call it quits :D

Yes please, email the remittance and I'll sign, scan and email it back.

Money will be in my account tomorrow.

When my HBOS complaint is finished, I may well tell you all what I do for a living ;)

My bets are on either a mathematician or a bank manager.

Assuming it is still in force, and that they agreed to include the 24.9% interest I have calculated the following.

    £929

I have annualised the PPI based on an average.

Not sure if that is the most accurate way or even the correct method.

Eg Year one (2006) Annual ppi payments £69.80. 24.9% added for 5 years brings it to £212, then 8% added to that for 5 years = £311.

Year two (2007) Annual ppi payments £69.80. 24.9% added for 4 years brings it to £169, then 8% added to that for 4 years = £229.

Year three (2008) Annual ppi payments £69.80. 24.9% added for 3 years brings it to £136, then 8% added to that for 3 years = £171.

Year four (2009) Annual ppi payments £69.80. 24.9% added for 2 years brings it to £108, then 8% added to that for 2 years = £125.

Year five (20010) Annual ppi payments £69.80. 24.9% added for 1 year brings it to £87, then 8% added to that for 1 year = £93.

    Then add the bold numbers.

Yes this is a crude method as the PPI is paid monthly and not annually, but it hopefully gives you a rough idea.

    Thanks honey appreciate that

I did cancel the ppi about 6 months ago but the lady on phone said yesterday they would pay it up to the date they pay it, if you know what i mean as in interest added on to the day they send money over.

Thanks once again for your time x

I'll post up when I have finished my claims.

Ps, I have far too much personality to be a VAT man or Tax Inspector :rotfl:
