  • I last posted on 27-7 10 and have since made some progress with my credit card claims.
I e-mailed Lloyds TSb to ask where they were up to regarding my claims. They sent me a letter a couple of days later stating that they were only waiting for my signed acceptance from the fos ,so I e-mailed them and have received an e-mail back to say they have the Lloyds offer and are now going through it to make sure they have followed the guidelines given to them and I should here from them shortly .Sorry this is so long winded, I should have done smaller posts after each stage !! But hopefully I should hear some news in the near future, thanks all for the advice and encouragement ;) :T

Hi, i took a finance package out with Peugot Finance about 4 years ago, i was just wondering if the same information regarding PPI applies to car finance as with loans from banks.

    Hi there

As amersall says, yes it is.

If you were mis sold this product for any reasons, then give it a go on reclaiming, complete the FOS questionnaire, as shown on link below, further down the page as stage one of reclaiming.
Keep a copy for yourself and then send the questionnaire to the ones who set up your policy.
They have 8 weeks in full to respond, make sure you get proof of posting at your local post office as well, good luck.

Can you let me know which email address you are writing to for Lloyds.
I am currently using the customer care and Eric Daniels ones but still no reply as yet after one week and 2 emails.

    Hi all,
I just wondered if anyone knew if it was possible to try to reclaim PPI on a card which was recently settled and closed?

I closed a card I've had for years recently via a balance transfer, but only just found out about possible PPI on it!

    Cheers,
    Ben

Hi ben and welcome, yes you can claim. write to card issuer with account number and say you were mis sold this insurance, give your reasons for this, when you get a reply please post on here and if you need any further help just yell. You can use the fos template or just pen a few words your self x

    Hi Ben and welcome

Yes, what you do is complete a FOS questionnaire, this is instead of the usual first reclaim letter, the questionnaire have replaced this on this site.
Complete and send to whoever was responsible for setting and selling the policy to you, keep a copy for yourself as well.
They have 8 weeks in full to give a decision, sometimes they request for extra time.

The FOS questionnaire you will find on below link - further down the page as stage one.
Hope this helps, ask for further help if required, and good luck.

I also think it would be a good idea to post your reclaim by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.;)
