Thank you very much
Will give them a call, do I need a seperate account number for the PPI insurance ? I have both loan account No's and agreement as well as the T & C's The loan agreement's were signed and stamped by them in 1998, and the other in 2000.

Ive found my Lloyds tsb loan policy booklet here dated 07/04. Its pretty poor really and doesnt explain how you would go about claiming other than a phone number but theres a fair bit in there which may help people.
Feel free to pm if you want a scanned copy.
I could post it up but may be easier this way.
Does anyone have any earlier ones? could do with an 02 and an 03.
Also have an Alliance and Leicester Personal Loan Protection t&c from sept 2005 if anyone wants them.
You could contact them but this is probably quicker.0 -
I know a lot of people are having problems with EGG loans taken out ONLINE so thought I'd post to say don't give up. I took out the egg loan online in 2001.
I complained to egg, they wrote back saying no chance as it was online. I wrote to FOS, it was with them about 6 weeks and they wrote back to say that egg are paying me in full. I was expecting this to take about a year to be sorted, but it seems egg gave in straight away :j0 -

i took a loan out with Citifinancial in 2005. At the time I took out the loan I was told that taking out the PPI would improve my chances of being accepted, even though it said on the loan agreement that it was optional. Two years later I took out another loan with them, which consolidated the existing loan. Having learned about PPI, I opted out of the PPI in this second loan. The PPI was added up-front in the first loan, with an interest rate of 50% (I REALLY needed the money at the time). I am finally coming to the end of my repayments.
In September last year my loan was sold to a group called Moneyway; not sure why as I have never missed a payment. I got a letter from Citifinancial saying I now should deal with Moneyway for any queries etc. Trying to reclaim my PPI which I now know I was co-erced into taking, I sent an SAR to Citifinancial. they have written back saying they are no longer dealing with my loan and i must send my SAR to moneyway. Am confused. Who do i now make my PPI complaint to and who would i take to court in the event that it was necessary? I would have thought Citifinancial as I took out the loan with them originally but they are now refusing to deal with me.
Incidently, Citifinancial recorded the loan resale as a default on my credit record, even though I had never missed a payment. I got them to correct this but through Moneyway, as Citi would not deal with me...

Hi there
Normally you write to the ones who set your loans up, so personally I would do this anyway.
There is a questionnaire to complete (these are recently new and issued by the FOS), keep a copy in case you need to refer to the case later on.
You will find details of reclaiming on Martin's guidelines of reclaiming, start from "Stage one" which is the questionnaire.
If you were mis sold on both loans, then complete 2 separate forms, if the 2nd loan was not set up by whoever set up the first loan, then write to whom dealt with that 2nd one.

Its up to you if you want to send them a letter as well, the questionnaire should be sufficient, but if you want to write a cover letter, there is a template, but I would personally write in your own words.
You can just confirm you have enclosed Questionnaires in regards of your PPI complaints and please refer to them, and you look forward to hearing from them by 8 weeks of your letter, and also make them aware you will take your complaint to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) if your not satisfied with the outcome.
However, as stated a letter is optional.
But there is no harm in just checking a template letter out to make sure nothing is missed, like the reasons etc.

Morning all,
I've sent off all my details regarding the loans I've had with HSBC in order for me to claim PPI so just waiting for a response.
I previously had a Barclaycard which never really exceeded £1000, this is all now closed with full balance paid off.
How would I go about reclaiming PPI on this & also I have a HSBC Credit card which ive had for over 10 years the balance sometimes exceeded £3K and others times been relatively small.
Just wondering if there is any template forms etc to use for these cards, I dont have any details of the Barclaycard unless I was to ring the bank etc but with regards to the HSBC card i still have this and am able to print off the last 6 months statements.
Any help would be appreciated0
