Hi and welcome.
Good luck with this.
If you do send them anything only do so in copies and not the originals, however its not essential to send them anything if you don't want to.
The choice is yours.:)
Fingers crossed for you, please keep us posted.

HI Again
i should be receiving my money for my successful PPI claim in the next week or two as my claim has been upheld, one more quick question i was told by the bank that i will get 8% interest on top of what i am due, will i get this for every year or as a total as it makes a bit of a difference
£2289 + 8% = £2472
or per year
£2289 + 8% = £2472
£2472 + 8% = £2669
£2669 + 8% = £28830 -

Brilliant, well done to you
I get confused with how they work the 8% interest, where normally to what I know of this is normally given or awarded by a court for being deprived of your money.
I would also check the link on how the FOS calculates refunds, it may give you more of an idea here:

I have recently taken HP out in order to buy my car, the first time was with a company called GMAC and now it is with a company called Black Horse. Am I able to claim money back from these companies or are they not covered by the FOS??
Please help guys!! Many Thanks0 -
Hi Guys,
Not sure if anyone can help. I took out a loan with Halifax in 2007 and I have recently been looking into potentialy claiming back the loan protection payments and the 8% etc due to mis-selling. However I've just dug out the terms and conditions for the loan protection and I was wondering if I would be best to wait until the loan had been fully paid off before claiming. The terms and conditions for cancelling loan protection payments reads as follows: -
"after the first 30 days you can cancel your cover at any time. If you wish to cancel your cover, we will pay any refund of premiums to you unless you are in arrears on your account. If you cancel your cover you will be asked to contact your bank to discuss applying for a new loan without insurance in order to repay your existing loan."
I'm all for cancelling the loan protection and claiming a refund as the policy was mis-sold as it was never made clear to me that it was optional, but I haven't got a cat in hells chance of getting another loan either with HBOS or another bank to clear the original loan.
Any help greatly appreciated, many thanks!!!!!0 -

Hi if you claim for misselling they will cancel the insurance i would just write and give reasons you think youve been missold .On a good note i think Halifax are one of the better banks dealing with ppi Good Luck Sunny0 -

Hi and welcome.
Due to this, then still ring the FOS and ask if you should then write to the insurer instead who would have been covered by these regulators.
Many of us have gone that direction where the FOS are trying to make the insurers responsible.
So do contact the FOS first explain your situation and if you do not know the insurers details maybe the FOS can find out for you, or you write to GMAC for the policy details who should send them by post to you on request.

Hope this helps, good luck, please let us know how you get on.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
