  • Hi all,
Haven't been on for a couple of days as mad work wise, but as the last time I was on was page 18 I haven't a hope in hell of catching up, so hugs to everyone who needs one, well done to those who have done great and hope the poorly people are all well now...

Just some quick questions that I remember:
G&B - How's your LO and how did the appointment go?
Pigpen - any news on your DS's GF?
Soappie - how did the floor turn out?
    Diva - how's Tristan?

    Started well, got DS up,
cooked him sausage sarnies for breakfast,
    made his lunch,
cooked some Twinks so he could take some to school with him,
    washed up,
cleared the back garden from hidden mines under what was left of the snow and ice... (yeeeuuuuuccccckkkk!!!!) and washed it all down with buckets of big, hot bleached water
    had breakfast...

Then got sidetracked on here and facebook (thanks Pigpen  ) so, after a good start, I am now flagging so -
anyone up for a HHC at 11?

  • A and W and of course mum have a great time out in the snow. We had a great day on Monday. We did snowballs, snowman, a snowchair, made snow Angels (my favourite) and went sledging to the pub ;). Would like some more but not until 3.30 as then every one will be home safe.

Well I have sorted out airing cupboard, hoovered the beds, cleaned my swarosvski, put on WM, put stuff in TD, looked at my pile of ironing. I now only have some ironing to do and find me some rubbish then I will have done 3 full lists.

    Thursday - Master Mess-room
    Level One
[STRIKE]Strip bedding [/STRIKE]and wash it (will wash first thing tomorrow)

[STRIKE]Turn and vacuum mattress and redress![/STRIKE]
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Vacuum floors[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe the bed frame of dust and deweb the room[/STRIKE]
    Extras
    [STRIKE]S&S kitchen [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]HHI[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]One more load of washing[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Dismantled the oven, took out shelves and Mr Muscled them and leaving overnight[/STRIKE] That's the easy bit, now have the messy yicky bit to do tomorrow.

[STRIKE]'Relocated' all the bits of guff, screwdriver, cables, spare buttons from the bottom of the ironing basket[/STRIKE] :rotfl:

    Will do these two tomorrow:
Tidy a chest of drawers.. tuck in all those bits hanging out
    straighten up the airing cupboard

Stunned to have found there is actually a bottom, to the 'bottomless' ironing basket. :A Apart from the stuff I washed tonight that's just about to go on the airer, there's just one pair of trousers, a t-shirt and a king-size quilt cover to go. Woohoo!

Full on day tomorrow! A day off. :T

  • morning all!

Puppy had me up at 3.30 this morning, barking to be let out! Bless - no puddles on my kitchen floor.

DH is on the road to Derby with enough stuff for a night out in case he gets stuck!

I'm having another "at home" day as I can't get to my venue safely.

However, it does mean I've kept up with low level flying in between whiles.

This week, as well as my dailies, I've:

    Made soup, and Rocky Road.
Hoovered and mopped right through downstairs.
Done all my washing up to date. (that's clothes washing, not dishes BTW)
Washed all my cushions and throws.

I now need a bit of help, please. I had a recipe for an Economical Light Fruit Cake. I used to make it in a loaf tin and it worked brilliantly every time, even if I do say so myself. I've now lost the recipe  and can't remember the quantities. Ingredients were obviously flour, sugar, marg (or butter), fruit, eggs, milk. If anyone has a similar recipe, I'd really appreciate it. I've tried the net, but they are all a lot more fancy, IYSWIM. Thanks in advance.

Hope to get back later to catch up.
