I agree with Frodders - good to see you back on form Mudders!
But *Blast*. I'm going to have to start a three tier rubbish system for the coming week. Some of you may recall that my bin men didn't come today. And that's quite understandable. But, having checked, they're not going to play catch up tomorrow, they're going to wait until next week. My two tier system involves recyclable stuff and non recyclable stuff. The three tier system is recyclable stuff, dry non-recyclable stuff and wet stuff (the dry stuff will be safe from foxes). I may just have to hook out the bit of 'builders rubble' I put in there yesterday. Hey ho.
Oooh - nice neighbour just called, we chatted. She said she's not seen snow like this here since 1963!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Kitchen table cleared & wiped, and contents either binned/recycled/sent back to the appropriate place to be dealt with!
Another batch of ironing (pillowcases) done. Just 7 shirts, 1 double flat sheet and a kingsize duvet cover to go... preferably before Pigpen makes me wash yet more bedding to add to the pile! The benefit of not going out is that I'm not making much laundry  as I'm just wearing the same grubby outfit every day!
So if I hoover the kitchen floor (it doesn't need mopping, I only did it at the weekend and haven't made a mess since) while making supper, I'll have finished today's list :T :T . Two days in a row is a bit scary... and I plan to have a go at the utility room floor tomorrow if it isn't too cold, as I've got the day off (I was going to go to Bristol, but I don't think I'll be going anywhere as it'll be icy).
G&B - ((((hugs)))) for you and LO, and good luck at the appointment tomorrow.
Mudders - if you can't sit still, clean all your radiators thoroughly (this will take her a while... it's a nightmare getting down the insides, and she'll have to do the pipes, valves etc...!) or come over here and spring-clean my study!! Personally I think your OH is mad... it's definitely time you started working again
ETA - good to see so many flyladies over on the green & ethical board... maybe I'll put something on there about ethical investing for soappie & valli0 -
Just had yet another row with DH so he's gone to bed with the kids. So I'll carry on and do some more jobs!

Hi,
Hope everyone is well & welcome newbies/returners. Since my last post I've had meeting, done laundry & errands. My aim for the rest of the evening is to do more errands0 -
soappie it might be worth him discussing the situation with the LL, see if there is an agreement can be made about the rent
Thanks Lil-me : he's already spoken to the agent today and they are holding firm. They are going to evict the others (but that will take a couple of months anyway) but he will still be held partly responsible as he's a joint tenant and will also lose his deposit it seems - and have to pay rent up until the eviction.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hi Emily - someone alluded to it last night, but I'll be bold and say I'm fascinated by your errands. What are they? Is it a colloquial term (like messages seem to equate to shopping in certain parts of Scotland)?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

This week is starting to feel under control! Need to have a go at the wardrobe in a while I think. WM went on last night with a dark load - another will go through tonight. I hope to go one more day without running the DW but might not manage that.

Sort out a bundle of photo magazines to go up to our Neighbour - I promised them her weeks ago but she's four floors up and I've not summoned up the energy yet! :rotfl: If I take a bundle of them up there though it is less of them cluttering up the top of the sewing box.
Tidy out the bottom of my wardrobe
Once the wardrobe is done and I have unearthed my knee high boots check if they now fit OK on my calves and give them a hoover out/clean/polish if so.
Work out where the heck to store my newly purchased 3kg bag of bicarb!
My M.A.C.A.W this week is: Be in bed before 11pm each night - I feel so much better when I do this!

soappie http://england.shelter.org.uk/get_advice might be worth giving Shelter a call, they are usually really helpful. They can also help find anything the agent might have missed like a HMO licence compliance, TDS scheme being used etc which is often useful in negotiating. I'd guess being free it's worth a try.One day I might be more organised...........
