Pink - what a sweet little pup! how long do you get to keep him/her?

Have pottered today. Everything's back in the kitchen. The living room has been thoroughly Dysoned. The bathroom mats and towels have been slung in the washing machine. Have also started cutting down the kick plates.

DD popped in. They left early at her work. She had a scare driving in today - she touched the brakes at one point and the car started fishtailing. Fortunately, she managed to stop with no damage but it shook her up rather badly.

Seems her bloke left his lodgings last night due to problems with his house mates (punched a hole in his bedroom door when they got back drunk it seems). He's gone back to his parents who live very close to where I work about 20 miles away. He will never be able to drive due to a disability so he's sort of stuck out there.

He needs to be here on Thursday so I've said that they can use the front room if they want. Also, that if he wants, I can drive him back to his parents first thing Friday morning when I go to work.

They are going to redo their efforts to find a flat to share together. But, as he has to pay rent for the rest of the tenancy on his room he's just left money will be extremely tight for them. I suspect bank of Mum may be called upon again! Though I'm hoping his parents will help out - they are stinking rich it seems.

Have settled on fish and chips for tea - Tesco's finest oven chips (cos I'm feeling lazy - I still can't believe I did all that tiling and grouting AND cooked a full on roast on Sunday!) with a salmon steak for me and fish fingers for DS (cos he doesn't like salmon!). DiL is working late.

But, before I do that, I'm going to soak in the bath, deep condition my hair and deep clean my fingernails before cutting them so at least I look less like a builder when I go to work tomorrow. Not looking forward to that - we have rain now so it'll be icy tomorrow but hey, I've had my snow day...

    Am off again
I will get these decorations out of the living room tonight,

Well I cleared my kitchen floor and swept it - got changed as well seeing as I didn't fancy getting on my hands and knees in my new work trousers! Not much but it was really cluttered and I put the stuff away instead of just moving it!

Just watching Home and Away and then I'll start again.

I read that as 'all the schools in the country!' and got all excited!

DH in, I gave him his dinner and he's asked if I want to give up work:rotfl: . Going to load the dishwasher, put another wash in and then I guess read a book. Can you tell I feel better? xx
