My daughter has (amongst other things) severe scoliosis, she has metals rods in her back supporting her spine and they need lengthened every 6 months as she grows (she's 5). However she has been in hospital with pneumonia and so her lengthening is now quite overdue, so she is growing but her rods are rigid and causing her pain as she is bigger now - hope that makes sense. The anaesthetist doesnt want to risk a GA until she has been clear of pneumonia for at least 4 weeks, they have to be extra careful as she also has a serious heart condition. Seeing the consultant tomorrow to see what he says. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

rach sorry I didn't pop back, DP hijacked the laptop then I had to get kids fed, DS2 to Beavers etc. I did manage quite a bit in the kitchen, not finished the list yet however especially since DP has now dumped my boot contents (aka costco shopping storage!) onto the kitchen floor....bums....so need to find somewhere for that lot before I can finish it.
Oh and rach, nice snow! Did they not put on a bus service instead? They seem to do that a lot up here, DP also sometimes does contract work for Virgin aswell who will pay for taxis if peoples trains/transfers will be delayed too much
g&b will be thinking of you both x
soappie it might be worth him discussing the situation with the LL, see if there is an agreement can be made about the rent
DS2 to collected now DS1s stayed with me as his Dad is 'busy' tonight. I've got some shifting to do as DP said he's going to do more sanding tomorrow, I think me hinting asking of I could put the sander away prompted his memory that he started it. I'm off to SALT course tomorrow so no toddlers, then back to study and probably help DP with the decorating work.
DS2 doing homework, DS1 working himself! Going to get them to bed, quite tidy round, finish kitchen list then back to the books. One day I might be more organised...........
