  • that looks brilliant serena - beyond me I think though I am still trying to get an ordinary avatar that moves. Even one that stays still is still a bit of a hit or miss!
I used to have an excellent memory but I think with not working it has become lazy - some things I can still do - I keep a lot of phone numbers in my head but they are ones that i use a lot so thats easy! I got a brain training game for my christmas and apparantly I have a c minus brain - the brain of an astronomer - that was beofre I started on the wine and the turkey - havent tested it again but would like to improve it!

    toots xx

    Hi Serena
Yeah - I remember your disappointment re France - so pleased to spot it's on again...can you pick up some fromage at vin s'il vous plais? or maybe you're a 'tu'
DS has been on here and I have been tipping up marmalade to see if it is set it has - it clearly had a lot of pectin in as I got it on my hands squeezing the pips in the muslin...so just got back on - smiling away at Tris - been lighting candles and keeping him in my thoughts all week ...

    who's missing then? Hadn't noticed ...

    ***ouch*** ***whoosh***
mules are flying past my ears!

I didn't know what a voki or the other thing was either...
voki you are asking about is it Toots? animated avatar it is...

Ooh I keep forgetting - major flinging has been happening - DS has cleared 'too small' clothes and DD has had a major clearout including flinging of 'grown out of' toys - so took most to charity shop this morning and the flinging is still going on...I have recycled what I could do and she now has lots more room - I daresay I could have e bayed some but would really rather get it out before minds are changed...

  • Serena, the conference sounds fascinating. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and it's always good to score a point with incredulous offspring! :D

Toots that was my concern too. So, it's vital that I consume a couple more tonight then.... :rotfl: BTW you've got mail. x

ETA: Serena I remember how disappointed about France you were too. Glad you've re-booked, and hope you have fun picking some yummy vino.

Decluttered money to school (ready for Monday) for Valentine roses (£1 x 2 kids), trip money (£20, £44 still left to pay ) Collection money for Sunday school tomorrow x 2 kids plus 1 x me! Church 100 club money, milk money owed to friend from other day, writer of the week money for W, Miss A counted out the contents of their money boxes which has now been transferred online to their accounts from mine, so now I feel skint.

Put into process a change around of bank accounts yet again grrr chasing the pathetic amounts of interest on offer. In some cases it is better to keep money in my current account as it can earn more than most savings accounts

    Updated money with everything.

Need to declutter a glass of red, anyone want to join me?

    Evening all

DS3 party done, all kids well behaved.

Serena, glad you had a good day, sorry to hear about DS at school but at least he wasn't one of the worst culprits. DS2 has not 'done his time' yet due to school being closed for snow. No he's not on G&T because they have not bothered to do it for his year group due to NAGTY changing. I've mentioned it a couple of times but our school are rubbish at G&T their ofsed said they fail the brightest kids there which is a bit of a worry.

Hex - I missed the post about your ankle so I'll flip back and look - hope you are ok, I bashed my toes on the chair earlier and am hobbling now.

Soappie good news your DD is not going to be too far away

I need to put on another load of washing as the basket is like the magic porridge pot at the moment and then head off for bed.
