Loads of other good offers too such as a carbon monoxide alarm for £12.99 about half of what you would expect to pay.

I think that's just an alarm for gas fuel leaks not a carbon monoxide alarm.

Gas for burning usually has a smell added so you can detect it at quite low concentrations before it gets to a level that can cause an explosion. Carbon monoxide, on the other hand, is odourless and will kill you by poisoning before you notice. So if you have neither type of alarm a Carbon monoxide alarm is the one to get first. In fact a CO alarm is a very sensible purchase for any household with a combustion heating aplliance, after a smoke detector of course.

No this is a full wireless burglar alarm. There is a carbon monoxide alarm too, which is about half the normal price!

Is this build into the control unit or a separate wireless device?

Maybe its one of these ? ..... http://www.lidl.co.uk/gb/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20060209.p.Infrared_Movement_Sensor

Also on that infrared movement sensor do you have to manually turn it on via the switch at the front everytime you want to arm it?
