So alls well that ends well, although a mountain was made out of a molehill.

A mountain wouldn't have been made out of a molehill if the cheques had gone missing, would they!

I wondered if I'd get any comments like yours and hey ho, I did.

I've had that recently with Nat West so I know it can happen.

You can choose your colour with the credit cards. So if you get them muddled up (easy to do), why not get the bright pink one instead? :D

    I did! :rotfl:

I had the debit card behind other cards and the pink credit card at the front. As I haven't had either the current account or the credit card account for long I just took out the Halifax card I could see and it was the bright pink credit card. Oops.

I didn't know that! But I won't be applying for the pink one. Does it have a Barbie hologram? ;)

See http://www.hbosplc.com/media/pressreleases/articles/halifax/2007-08-15-TBC.asp?section=halifax for a key feature (!!) of Halifax credit cards.

With that username, I take it you're male, so it's not a surprise that you'll be with the 96% of men who don't take the pink one.

Maybe the Barbie shows up under the UV light? An extra security feature?

I love the fact that someone actually got the job to sit down and write that press release. Imagine having to type
giving fashion conscious consumers an even greater choice when it comes to picking the right plastic for them [...] For many the colour of the plastic in their wallet is seen as a status symbol.

and their Head of Marketing actually said
Our best buy Anniversary One Card is proving very popular, not only because of our market leading rates because of the choice it offers customers [...] the additional choice of colour allows people to show a bit more of their personality.

...... last time I looked

.... but you're right .... it's a grimacing read. I nearly didn't get past the headline of " Pink is the new black when it comes to feminine finances". As the word after 'feminine' always tends to be 'hygiene' ...... and I tend to retract to Yorkshire maleness at that point .... look at my shoes ... mutter 'Fred Trueman' or 'Harvey Smith' ..... and read no further!

But I managed it this time .... and was suitably impressed that, for a Bank, they know that 101% (it really is ;) ) of their female customers (who have a card) have either the 'passionate pink' the 'brilliant black' or the 'radiant red'.

Gruesome! But I'm not sure where it leaves my 'bleary blue' (didn't sleep last night) card - as it doesn't even rate a mention. Perhaps it's because I only use my 'gorgeous green' Egg cashback card .... and the Halifax one is just very much a backstop.

At least I came back and admitted that I'd made a mistake with the cards. I could have said 'oh they found them after all' and you'd have been none the wiser.
