Does 'Search this forum' work for you

Strange question but see the victoria sponge thread for details. Doing a search for victoria sponge works for one person out of four. However thread has been moved.

OK - I'll just have to find somewhere else to ask the question.

I thought it might help to know whether search works or not. The same questions keep getting asked - but perhaps people try the search and it doesn't work.

This thread needs some explanation now it has been moved before there was an answer.

Someone asked for a victoria sponge recipe ( http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=139262)on the Old Style board and said they had done a search to no avail. I tried a search and did not get any results either.

Someone else said that they got 6 results. I tried again in advanced and got 4 results, another person tried and got the same as me.

The BG moved the thread to another victoria sponge thread (which we had not found) so I posted this question on the OS board. If the search doesn't work there then I suppose it needs reporting.

The same questions keep getting asked and then moved - but perhaps people can't find the threads if search doesn't work for everyone.
