Samsung Screen Is Broken

I recently purchased a samsung f210 mobile phone fom the Orange website and it appears as if the screen is broken. Although it is not cracked....when you run tour hand over the screen it just looked like a crack on the screen and i cannot switch the phone on ...
i have not dropped it or anything.
i only had the phone delivered on 10 jan 09
Is there any thing i can do regarding contactig Orange....

    I would say you contact orange and tell them that your phone has failed, explain that you have not dropped it and i am sure they will replace it for you. Its still under warranty.

    They might offer you a repair for the handset, may be chargeable, and screen damage is not covered under the warranty.
