Can you recommend which broadband for my Mum?

My mum is considering buying a laptop or notebook just to do her banking, emails and a little browsing.
Can any one suggest the cheapest provider for basic packages??
Im with Vodafone and they cover my BT line rental and free calls for twenty something a month.....anything better around??

Thanks in Advance

You can have broadband and Skytalk free (free weekend and evening calls) if you have Sky, the basic package is £16.50. You can also transfer your line rental to Sky which costs only £10 per month as opposed to £11.75 with BT and i think BT is about to increase its charges. So if she does this she will be getting all this and actually paying less than she does now - great bargain.
I have never had any problem with Sky and if you are a skytalk customer you can ring them free also. Just need to give them a ring and they will sort it all out for you. If you haggle a little you could get a deal on your line rental also
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

She must have one or two packages with the basic Sky to be paying £21.50
add her BT her line rental to this she is now paying £33.25 as of now.

With SKy it would be £21.50 plus£10 rental totalling £31.50 for the whole lot.
    Get in there!!!

Sorry Pingu, the £5 you mention is only a charge if you dont have Skytalk.
It comes free otherwise. I have just had my letter this week to tell me so.

So, if I leave tiscali (for my broadband), leave BT for calls and line rental I will get two packages, my phone line (not pay anything to BT) and broadband for £31.50 with Sky ?

Im trying to get hubby to let us have sky but he wants facts and figures and im stumped lol, so I need facts before I work on him :D
