Lab-created diamond engagement ring

I did some research on lab created stones and decided to buy a moissanite stone. I got the ring from Hatton Garden and when bringin in the stone, the jeweller was taken aback when I told him it wasn't a real diamond - he still couldn't tell it was lab created when double checking it. GF loves it. It does look much more 'real' than a CZ.0

Hamleteer - Moissanite is beautiful and looks exactly like a natural diamond, which size did you get? I have Moissy side stones in a ring i have set with an Asha as the Moissy would have been too yellowish under dull light, its a 2.75 ct in size, i love Moissy stones and would love to get more :laugh:0

I got the equivalent of a 1ct stone. Any bigger would not suit my GF as she's got fairly small hands/fingers. The colour is as clear as you could wish for. I think you'll need to get very large stones to get the yellow/green tint some people mention.
I'd recommend them to anyone!0 -

I can tell the difference. CZs look too perfect. I would only ever have the real thing. But it's all down to personal preferenceKavanne

I jusat think the real thing is such a waste of money IMHO. Even if my husband was loaded I would go 'fake' and keep the cash for what matters to me. I still like the idea of natural 'flaws' in the real thing though.QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0

I have a CZ eternity ring and a diamond engagement ring - this diamond is about .5 carat as I have small hands and larger rings didn't suit me (I am not Hamleteers fiancee either haha).
I can't tell the stones apart personally!0
