Accessing internet away from home??

Please excuse my ignorance, but how do you access the internet from your laptop?

I travel for my work and being able to get online would be really useful. I've seen people do it using their phones I think?

How does it work and what does it cost?

Thanks

Get a orange prepay sim. They have daily unlimited use internet for £1 a day. You can either use it thru your mobile or thru your laptop using the mobile as a modem. You will need to take the CS on the phone to get the modem set up.

I'm with O2 and connect during off peak hours using inclusive minutes on a 0845 isp thru bluetooth, OK for checking emails but no good surfing at 9.6 Kbps!

    What's a CS?

You could get a wireless network PCMCIA card for your laptop (or a USB one) then use wifi hotspots to access the internet when you are out and about. Some are free, some you have to pay to use. Type wifi hotspot finder into google.

    Uk one here...
