I tried emailing opsmanager@bt.com but this bounced.
Anyone else have an email address to send complaints to?0 -
I suspect this is going to come back and bite BT on the bum! There are quite a few disgruntled savvy consumers who are onto them!
Is this the sort of thing Martin can follow up?0 -
Hi
I bring good tidings !! ;D
Firstly I am VERY angry at BT for trying to scam people with their pretend sale. Totally disgusted that such a big company should resort to low level money snatching schemes which totally flaunt consumer rights, consumers that so far have made their company profitable.
I too was going to buy the tom tom ipaq for my boyfriends birthday and then noticed the price increase. However I fortunately took a dated print from the internet on 7th with the price at £269.99. So hence they have been rumbled. Okay pay back time!! 8)Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,
And you old faithful pal of mine.0 -

Grr...it bounced on me too. The woman I talked to even left me on hold while she ensured she had the correct email.
Another complaint to add to the bottom of my email when I find the correct address.0 -

Is it possible to scan this in and email it to me. As I said, I was going to buy this and am prepared to argue the case with the appropriate authority, but stupidly I never took a screenshot or printout of the price prior to today :P

Sigh - yet another good-for-nothing online retailer. I'll be storing BT alongside Boots, Empire and LxDirect in my shopping address book (ok, I don't really have one but it's starting to feel like they've got something against me)!
I was looking with interest at the Tom Tom offer, and was about to ask what people thought of the 1710 as a PDA in its own right. I wanted to make use of it as a universal remote too but it seems that CIR isn't a feature.
Anyway, I have a snapshot of the page at the lower price for what its worth. PM me if you want me to send you a copy and I'll see what can be done. I somewhat doubt that they will budge on price but I'm all for giving it a shot.
Cheers,

So lets just get this clear. BT have the tomtom kit on sale prior to the advent offer for £269 (which we all looked at covertly? although it was on open sale at the same price elsewhere on the site, so at least we're safe there) Just prior to advent sale day (of which we nothing about?)...it goes up by just over 22%
Then BT offer a 30% reduction less than 24 hours after it's gone up.......I'm sure trading standards can smell it from where they are.....this needs a concerted effort in order to bring BT into line....the question is are we all up for it?0 -
If lots of people complain to Which? (formerly the Consumer's Association) I'm pretty sure they'll follow it up. It's just their sort of thing. I'm always reading about this kind of complaint in their magazine (which I subscribe to so could let everyone know if they DO do something)
Email: which@which.co.uk
When I emailed them I thought it was just the IPAQ but they should be made aware of other specific products that this has happened to.
Bought one anyway as it's still a good price but it's the principle...0
