    Download http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4 to your desktop.
    · Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
    · Click the Scan for Vundo button.
    · Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
    · You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
    · Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
    · When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
    · Turn your computer back on.

    No offence intended
Within the last week I had to get rid of Winfixer from a friends computer with the above method.
The trouble with a lot of sites that promise a free fix is that they waste your time giving a free scan but then you find out you have to BUY their product.

No probs...I'm far from an expert...just passing on what did it for me...there was no charge either. Your solution oes look a lot easier though and it sounds as though you have more expertise than me..

    Thanks all.

alarad, tried Vundo came back with "no infected files were found".

My head is spinning trying to sort it but hesitate on clicking on to anything now.

Could this "When U" 'thing' that's started to appear have anything to do with problem?

I'm sorry to be a pain.

If you`re running XP turn off "system restore" before you run any of these programs.
Then run your anti-virus program (I use AVG) and try Vundo again.
Also run as suggested "Spybot" and "Addaware",both free, search Google for them.
If none of this works come back and we`ll try something else.
