My two pennies worth. If you are all happy enough to post kids comps to an adult audience then you inviting the abuse in the first place. I have never been comfortable with the promoting of kids comps on these forums. Do any of you remember the CITV comps that all of a sudden disappeared last March? It was down to abuse caused by comps sites like these promoting them.

Probably about the only sensible thing said on this thread:money:

If I am entering a kids comp then I am doing it on my kids behalf. I have 3 kids aged 6, 7 and 14. The younger ones dont really bother with the computer comps really but the older one has his own email and everything so he does his own if he is here or I do it for him and put his email address. IF I EVER win anything they will get the prize.

Sorry all but purplebutterfly you are SO wrong.

The fact is nick, nick jr etc have it in their t&cs that you have to be a certain age to enter.

    Sixtyplussurfers, mature times DONT.

So yes, in my circumstance, i can enter them all on behalf of myself and my daughter. I do not make up a name as previous posters have suggested. That is the problem here.

And in an other instance we dont enter toxic or matchmag comps as i believe that you have to be aged 7-11, my daughter is 3.

The point is, if the t&c's apply to you, then enter the comp. If they dont, then dont!

People who make names up, abuse comps etc etc will get their karma, for sure!!!!!
Do good and good will come to you.

  • I always enter the kids comps on behalf of my children who are 6, 5 and 9 months. It really annoys me when I see people winning baby items just to sell on eBay! I never enter the wedding comps as I'm not about to get married etc. I would feel bad if I won something when it could of gone to someone who really wanted or needed it! Just my opinion :)
  • Oooh, this is a contentious issue...

I am wholly agreeing with Al Mac - if you can enter a comp as per the terms and conditions, you are free to do so. I enter the odd comp on bridal sites if it's something I fancy, despite being single... and I also enter the odd comp knowing that I'd never want the prize but a friend/family member would love it.

The promotors here have gotten wise - they are limiting entries to the under 7s. Sure, you can still lie... but if they check up on you, you'll look and feel stupid.
Best wins: Luxury weekend in Russia, family holiday to France, catered BBQ for 20, Selfridges shopping spree, jolly to Majorca, £1,000 See Tickets vouchers, £500 John Lewis vouchers, five-star weekend in Provence!

I enter comps FOR my sons. I've a baby, and my elder son is nearly 7years old. this means that one, or both, fits in the age range for most kids competitions.

I too have entered on sixtyplussurfers before.... but i checked all over their site, nothing i saw said you actually had to be of that age to enter. I enter comps for car prizes, even though i dont drive becuase my hubby does.
I've always been honest... except sometimes spelling my name wrong!

I always enter kids comps although I dont have any myself, I do have a nephew who is 4 and would love the prizes hence the reason I enter( its for him). I know I maybe wrong in doing it, but he is still familyand I dont like the magic roundabout :)

Well, I have a lovely smile too... can people STOP entering all the comps for Caribbean holidays? Because I tan beautifully as well... :rotfl:

I see your point, but it's hardly stealing, is it? Each to their own - if you are eligible to enter, then why not?
