"well at least your doing it for your grandaughter and not making up stuff like the annoying poster on this thread"

Thanks, wokkies. I would never make up stuff to win something except the next election!

I've got three granddaughters and their names are (God forbid that my children were ever "pretentious") Lily Moon Beatrice, Yasmin Saskin and Lois Honey!

    I ask you?

  • For those people who have jumped on posters who admitted to entering kids comps without kids - well why not?

To be honest, I don't believe any child of 7 or under should have a telly of their own anyway - children these days are spoiled rotten.

Adults who work hard and get nothing in return should be allowed to enter whichever competitions they like.

No I don't have kids, because I don't agree with the current way our society dicatates that children should be treated as "little emperors". My friend's 3 year old had a DS, a Wii and a tv in his bedroom! Ridiculous.

Sorry to take it off at a tangent but I bet that people who have said it is wrong to enter kids comps have entered comps on wedding forums aimed at brides or comps aimed at over 60's etc

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone...............and all that

Then NO need to make up a date of birth. Enter it in your own (correct) DOB and tell the promoters you don't agree with a child having the prize.

I haven't entered - I just don't like the way everybody jumped on that poster as if they themselves were pure as the driven snow.

In my defence - I dont enter the bridal comps and I'm not registered on the bridal websites or funky fogeys etc. Also, I entered this comp for my children for the runners up prizes and not because I think they need a tv in their room.

But, I do think there is a distinction between entering a competition on a site aimed at the older generation (but clearly permits people of any age to enter the competitions according to t&cs) as opposed to fabricating a whole human being on a childs website (which does state an age limit).

Each to their own - but personally for me no prize is worth lying for.
  • my 5 year enters kiddy comps if he,s about when im comping if not i do on his behalf
some people must be so desperate or jealous if they have to enter comp going which includes lying/ making up info

Nothing wrong with entering any comp so long as you don't break the t&c's. Doesn't matter what the website's about. It's as simple as that.

You got it there Al - ;)

Nevermind all justification waffle - thats it plain and simple.
