found one for Northampton but it is £33.50 for the year to join and not quite on my doorstep but may be useful to someone else

Looks like the Northants one has closed... http://www.northantset.co.uk/news/Corby-to-lose-flagship-children39s.4652798.jp

I don't know if this helps anyone, but i've been managing to get lots of crafty stuff including stuffing really cheap from my local scrap store in plymouth. Businesses and individuals can drop off unwanted stuff to be recycled and you join for a membership of £5 per year then pay just £1.50 for a carrier bag of whatever you want, ours has huge variety of things including fabric, thread ,wool, buttons etc all good for crafting could be worth trying to find out if there's one in your area? :)
There's all sorts of other things such as packaging from shops such as bodyshop which can easily be reused by covering over the brand name then putting in bits and bobs to make gift boxes/ hampers etc
It's a great way of being green and saving some money too!

For anyone in the plymouth area who doesn't know where ours is- it's at the bottom of union street in the Play association building next to Aldi.

    Thanks Donna73

After thinking how lucky you were in Plymouth I did a search on Google and found that there is one in Exeter too! I will be printing off the form for membership now!

Hi QueenBee, do you have the details of the Newark one, do you know if anyone can join, how much it costs, and how it compares to the Nottingham one...am planning on joining one and am probably equidistant to Nottingham and Newark.
Hope Im not asking too much
    thanks
