I just called scottish power and i am on the 'dec 09' fixed rate and its a £60 fee to come out early.
but it looks like i would save more than that by moving to npower, is there any reason why i should not move to npower ?0 -
I applied and received a letter plus pricing leaflet for the Fix till 31-Aug-09 but for some reason they are charging me the higher rates of the Fix till Oct-09 and I am getting no joy from their customer services.
The gas fix is still 20% cheaper than anybody else but I may just switch electricity for a 14% saving.0 -
I applied for the fixed rate in July 08 through moneysupermarket.com, expecting to be on the rate that applied then but it appears that I'm actually on the Sep 08 rate, fixed to Dec 09. For my first bill I think there's a £160 difference in the two rates, and that's just the gas
They only contacted me in November to confirm the switch, so does that mean that I'm stuck with the more expensive rate even though they were the ones who took their time processing the application?0
