You should try the other. It's more fun. ;-)0 -
chartreuse your right - i don't have a head for algebra, but put it another way I believe a house of £100,000 now is likely to be £90,000 by summer, forgot the sums as I'm off for meal out and can't be bothered.
But I still haven't told OP not to get a mortgage and I still don't believe we are all doomed to no I'm not a HPC anything.
But Jenner I agree I came out in a cold sweat too. :rotfl:0 -
There are 23 houses under 70k in my area now. There were none for the first 6 months of last year. I think prices have come down a bit - especially 2 bed terraces which, lets be honest, should be cheap as chips cos they're tiny and have no gardens or parking.
It's possible there'll be lots of very cheap houses for sale as more people lose jobs. But it's all speculation and no one knows for sure. But the more Gordon gives the banks to "sort it out" the worse it gets for us.0 -
I'm out of this thread. If misrepresenting 50% as 5% is OK and proper maths is a joke then, frankly, it's !!!!!!ed.
I just hope you people don't fsck this board like you did the last one. Otherwise, pretty soon the only people left on MSE will be the hopeless and those who seek to prey upon them.
That is all.

Sorry, said I was gone but forgot to say: If the above is true, then !!!!!! are you doing pontificating about numbers and percentages? You're either an idiot or a villain - and I'm not sure which is worse.chartreuse your right - i don't have a head for algebra, but put it another way I believe a house of £100,000 now is likely to be £90,000 by summer, forgot the sums as I'm off for meal out and can't be bothered.0 -

A year ago there was nothing that cheap for sale anywhere near here... now there's 47 under 80k.
There are price drops happening and in some areas there are already cheap houses.0 -

When that house (loose term) hits around 30k I will see things as back to normal. Saying that house was probably going for about 15k before the bubble started.0 -
