Buy RBS shares at 20p per share and sell when they hit 30p or 40P.

One HELL of a risky plan though!!!!!!!!!!

    whats wrong with premium bonds?
i just invested an extra 3200 last week, and im averaging a 50 pound prize every 2-4 months! works out to be 3% interest return so beats my bank

Because the average return is 1.8% - which you can beat in a bank.

So, you were getting 3% when it was possible to get 6%. Now that the prize rate has gone down you will be looking at around 1%.

Another way to look at; would you put your money in a savings account and then take the interest out each month and buy lottery tickets?
