eBay. But nowadays they can be bought from Dwell cheaper than eBay. About £35 each from Dwell. Gas lift. Stainless steel base. ABS plastic seat.
  • same here - got white gloss units with long chrome bar handles - floor is charcoal grey aqualoc laminate tile ( which is brill to keep clean & is warmer underfoot than ceramic tiles) worktop is a pale grey with a charcoal & duck egg fleck so we picked up the duck egg as our wall colour - didn't bother with wall tiles, just the worktop upstand which is abour 4" deep & tiled with charcoal oblong tiles a splashback behind the cooker which ties in with the floor - assesories are a mixtute of chrome & glass with a few bits red as an accent colour - everyone who sees it thinks its fab

Tip: look at a colour wheel for hints on accent colours (opposite on the wheel) or complimentary colours (either side of your colour on the wheel)

    best of luck
  • ikea do some mad idea's if you want bright! kitchen floors should be tough and durable unless you are very house proud and clean every mark off when it hits the ground. For some reason i invisage white units bright green tops with silver details.probably a white tiled floor with maybe some green tiles mixed in and white and matching green tiles as splash back or a metal splash back. or you could go with clasic black

    Thanks for your suggestions, everyone.

I've decided against trying to do it all light colours, and doing everything glossy. It can look great when you see it in magazines etc, but they have tons of light and are using top quality products. I wouldn't get that effect in my house, lol.

So, the worktop will probably either be a slate grey, or a chocolate brown.

I love your floor, wywywywy, it's lovely. I'm going to either go for something glossy like that, but not in black, or go for a mat slate finish. Still haven't decided.

Would love to add a nice, bright coloured, splashback, but they're so expensive. Or maybe get a couple of wall cupboards with the Cooke & Lewis fuchsia glass accent doors.
