Can anyone give me any advice for colours to go with white gloss kitchen?

Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help me choose some colours, and items, for my kitchen as it's stressing me out trying to decide how to do it.
The units will be white gloss, so I need to decide on a colour scheme for the walls, worktop and flooring.
So far, I've only looked in B&Q for worktops. I don't want a dark, or a wood worktop, so the one that I saw was a really light green, kind of aqua colour (the cracked glass effect one in B&Q). I can't really think of any other colours for it, apart from white. Do you think a really light green would go ok with the white units?
Also, I would like a gloss effect floor. Again, I'd prefer a light colour rather than dark. I don't know if white will be too much against the white kitchen. Does it look better when the floor matches the worktop? It will also have to be laid on top of existing tiles, so I'm not sure which type of flooring is best for this.
As well as this, I have no idea what colour to paint the walls.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.

i have seen that worktop and i think it would work very well with your units. Be light and airy.
About the floor i am not sure, but for your walls you should try and pick a colour from the work top to blend in.:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
i think you need something with a bit of colour to provide a bit of contrast , otherwise it could al look a bit too clinical0

Gloss white kitchen going in next week, planning on light blue walls (feng sui apparently) dark granite effect laminate worktop, dark floor tiles and who knows about splashback tiles.......0

I'm have white painted units, our big US fridge is grey so grey worktop and pale grey for the walls but to perk it up I'm having purple glittery flooring and a purple splash backPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

rachbc What kind of glittery floor is it? I haven't really looked at flooring yet, but glittery sounds quite nice. Also, can I ask you where you're getting a splashback from? I'm hoping to get one for a space of 280cm, but have a cooker socket, and also hoping not to spend an absolute fortune on it.
I know what you mean, nickj, I don't want it to look really clinical or bland, but I like the colour of the light green worktop (plus it's cheap), so hopefully if I get the wall, splashback, floor colours right, then it won't end up looking like that.
So many choices, it's too confusing lol.0 -
Before we got our kitchen fitted, I was watching once of these TV design shows and they said that the colour of the floor and worktops should match.
Mine does and it looks good.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

We're just about finished our kitchen, we've done;-
units and gloss doors, cream
flooring, chocolate brown
worktop, travertine (like a marble effect, B&Q does the glossy version)
walls, got Dulux to match the colour with the unit doors, really helps!
Roller blind, chocolate brown. Not ordered yet, wanted one on internet which had photos of massive leaves on it but was £260 so finance director (hubby) said no.
I think it's not just the colours, it's the textures too. Our kitchen looks very neutral at the moment, I've bought a big mirrored chrome pendant to go over the kitchen table, clear glass splashback to be ordered (possibly from B&Q). I've gone for upstands rather than tiling - probably cheaper! Son got me a gorgeous giant "spring green" coloured teacup for christmas and it looks so nice on the window shelf I might get a few more bits and pieces in that colour too, so all in all, our kitchen is a mixture of brown tones, creams and greens.
White is tricky - depending on the "type" of light coming into the room it can often go cold blue or grey.
A white floor would do my head in as hubby has his garage just off the kitchen where he tinkers with his toys sorry motorbikes and it looks like our son is following in his footsteps. Plus we have a mad black cat that uses the kitchen floor as a race track, skidding around the corners like she's being chased by a dog.
Sorry, I have gone off track a bit - just eaten half a dairy wholenut (goes with the kitchen colour, see)
Bubbles, I'd continue down the aqua green route with the white doors, get a colour match with that green worktop you liked in B&Q for the wall paint, and see if you can find a darker floor in a complimentary foresty green!0 -
I want the glittery floor, sounds amazing - tell us what it is please!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Hi,
This is my kitchen with white gloss doors, and I think you might be interested in it.
I used an Ikea worktop with aluminium sides and a grey-metallic-ish surface worktop, which goes really well with the white gloss units. I put pure white on the walls as I really like the surgery clinic look. The flooring is a high gloss laminate - not cheap, but one of the best I've seen in terms of both quality and looks. And yes, it has a glittery quartz effect.
I have also used a lot of metallic items (e.g. splash back) to enhance the "modern techno surgical" look.0 -
The laminate is made by Elesgo by the way and is about £28-£30 per sqm. It doesn't scratch that easily (just be careful with the vacuum cleaner) and is slightly splash proof. Extremely easy to fit, even for a laminate product.0
