Re: hospital appointments, day ward attendance is antenatal appointments (so you get paid) unless you are admitted (overnight stay). I check this out last pregnancy. Get a letter from the hospital.
I'm at college and if my weekly visits to hospital fall on a college day I willbe getting a letter saying basically 'Will be attending day ward for checks on a Day from 24 weeks Gestation (date of when 24 weeks start) untill the birth or admittance to hospital.'0 -
Give and take on this one surely, I've done enough extra hours in my own time never to feel guilty about taking time back. Always take time for kids appointments and so on, but when extra needs doing always there until it's done, or at least I was until last week!Too many children, too little time!!!0

Thats what I think too as most of my appointments I schedule for my lunchtime and I work over and above my hours anyway.0 -

Just like to point out I'm not an oldiebut I am a connoisseur of good music  although most stuff around ibiza is my least fave stuff (only bonkers is worse!) but my absolute fave chill out track is "at the river" by Groove armada and for those who have no taste and therefore don't know

Would query it if they try to put down sick leave then and point out what you have said here. Sure it will be fine. Have to add though, when I've been pregnant before (just a few times) sick leave related to pregnancy did not go on my record as it was not allowed to, I work in a school now and the policy is the same. If you ever ring in sick make sure it's to do with the baby.;)Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

Well speaking from experience, it always makes me chuckle the amount of time and thought that goes into setting up the birth. Stay busy, stay on your feet and once it really hurts you won't give a toss what music is on.

P.S. I'm a very down to earth and practical person, out hanging the washing 3 hours after my DS.:cool:Too many children, too little time!!!0
