I work for Transport for London. Myself and my partner get an all zones travel pass for Buses, underground and trams which saves us thousands. Also there are a few places the give discounts on meals around the office for TfL staff and we get a discount at several gyms too.0

The best discount I had (off a much smaller range than I currently get) was paying 10% plus VAT on top of the companies purchase price for the goods. As a manager I had access to the system which showed the prices we were paying so it was always worth looking out for any bankrupt stock we were buying up. At one point we were selling some designer jeans for £120 to customers but after spoting a consignment of bankrupt stock coming in I got them for around £15 a pair!!!All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

We get 13.5% off Home & Leisure items which is basically anything that isn't food, toiletries, cleaning items or plants. You get a card which you have to fill out with what items you brought and have to get each item signed by the checkout supervisor. You are allowed a maximum of £250 per quarter to be written on the card. You get the discount back as cash. Not really worth it. They system is designed so as many people as possible can't be bothered to use it. I would rather get 5% off everything at the checkout TBH.
We also get a subsidised canteen. I had a lovely BLT baguette for lunch today for 50p. Sat out on the pier and ate it while enjoying the sunshine.A big fat breakfast costs about a pound, and a roast dinner about £1.50.
We have access to out of date long life food. Multipacks of crisps, drinks and cakes all for 20p each. Also carrier bags of spilt posh toilet rolls 8 for 50p. Nothing wrong with them at all.
Am also a member of USDAW union and get a few perks with that as mentioned previously.
Am thinking of defecting to Monsoon now though....0 -
i used to work for iceland and we got 10% off the shopping but i think i was the only person who could use it but i still let other people use it, i worked for saisnburys and i got 10% off everything except petrol, cigs and lottery, i could have another named person who could use the card, at christmas they did increase the discount to 15% and i think they did the same at easter earlier this yearNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20
