favourite shopping towns??

 my husband and I are off out forthe day tomorrow, managed to get day off work and someone to pick the children up from school.

Was thinking about going to norwich ( only an hrs drive) but dont mind travelling further.
we like norwich because it has a mixture of shopping malls / centres and a range of independant shops 2. ( and because it has become a habit to "go 2 norwich")

what are other peoples fave shopping towns and why?

many thanks
relynutz says it all :o

I like Birmingham because the shops are a lot better than Leicester and there's more choice!

dont bother with Accrington,it's town doesnt exsist no more, all the shops that have closed down because of the reccesion, well we did have those,so its now deserted nearly.

we still have marks, but that isnt nothing to write home about, cus it's just so small.
hope you had a great day anyway, and a relaxing one (wiv the kids sorted).

My home town of Bristol has a great choice in several distinct areas.
Liverpool has greatly improved thanks to the opening of Liverpool 1,no need to go to Manchester now.

Its nice to know someone does (and I live there too) !!!

Big improvements would be an undercover shopping area or Mall, some of the empty units being filled with quality shops not cheap tat, an improved one way system, better access into the town or a park and ride and cheaper parking.

The biggest improvement of all would be not to have to drive 40 mile to LUSH !!!
