When I was building my house the concrete company, I think it was then called Redimix, were handing out little concrete calculators free of charge. It was like a little slide rule. It was great for working out how much was needed. I suppose that a good proportion of posters on are too young to know what a slide rule actually is. They sort of vanished when Clive Sinclair introduced his calculator.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

At the moment, as haven't put the shuttering up yet its approx. 6.2 x 4.5 x 75mm. Which works out 2.1 m3. Been ringing around best price so far is £300. Must be dearer down here in Hampshire. If i can get the £95 prices i will go for it.

£277 for 2.5m3, thats better. Going to go for this now as it can be down pretty quick. Mix is a gem3, hope that is going to be ok, its a base for a raised patio.

Will be flagging at a later date. It needs to be built up from garden level, so this is easy and quick to do and i know it will be solid and easy to lay patio on. Also will still be functional right upto the last minute. I plan to add some flower beds across the front but again i will have time to work all this out.
