Concrete / ballast calculator

Options
Anybody know a site for working out how much ballast and cement to order for building a concrete base. Be good as well if you could change the mix ratios. I think i need 5:1. but would be handy for other projects too.

A cocnrete pump? Yeah those have a minimum hire charge attached to them. You seem to know what you are doing with the mix ratios, so I'd just make a quick excell spreadsheet.

    Hope this helps

work out the cubic metre area then multiply it by 1.7 to give you the tonnage......
    2m x 3m x .15 =0.9m then x by 1.7 equals 1.53 ton...hope this helps

Thanks works out about 4.7 tonnes.

    Have found this site

    http://www.source4me.co.uk/calculate_concrete_mix.htm
and that says about 4.6 using a 1:2:4 ratio. So a thats pretty good formula.

    Probably go for 1:6 now.
