I personally don't care where the call centre is as long as I can understand them, they can understand me, and they can sort out whatever I'm calling about.0

From personal experience whenever I have called a call centre abroad (not just india), I've have to ring them back to try and sort the problem out, been cut off more times , had language problems with them.
I've had the same problems with call centres in the UK, but in the end the UK call centres have sorted out my problem.
Just my personal experiences though, i'm sure not all are bad at customer service. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
totally agree with above...
but i fear uk call-centres are rare now0 -
Dont get me wrong i dont have a problem where a call centre is situated but its their woeful lack of knowledge that concerns me.0

It's just a training issue on the first day - haven't you ever been in a supermarket where the person can't quite work the till right but is supervised? - bound to improve, so not worth making a mountain out of it.0

This must have been opened a while back as I called a few weeks ago and spoke to a very nice and helpful Indian lady who managed to do in 5 minutes what the UK call centre couldn't do in 3 seperate calls so no complaints from me!0

I needed to call twice today, and both times they were very clear and efficient.
I disconnected the calls thinking to myself how things have improved with Orange customer service.Charles J0 -

Orange's first Indian call centre operation started just after I stopped working for them - and that was about this time last year (PAYG phone registration).
Perhaps they're uselessness was the reason that Orange PAYG phones now ship activated and don't require registration. :rotfl:0
