hi there newbie on this site. Not going to ask you to plan my investments, but have I got this right ,I have a certain amount to invest.I should take out an isa now and another one in April,.The rest ishould split into what percentage of low medium and high risk i am comfortable with.I dont need to access any of the remainder for emergencies. If this is correct , and then need to decide which isas are best.Where do i get that info, and an explanation in simple terms of difference between different types of isas.I dont work now.Or can someone show me the sites or articles to look at to educate myself in money matters.

I would suggest that you go to one of the IFAs that do not charge.eg. Lansdown hardgrieves or bestinvest. I use https://www.bestinvest.co.uk myself and I have been happy with them for over 5 years now. there is a planning page where you imput your requirements and what, if any, risks you are prepared to take and from that they work out a profile for you. From this profile you can select from their list of reccommended funds and they will buy them and refund the commision.Something Really Interesting0
