Well done D1, great progress :)

QB, try www.whatsthecost.com - you can fiddle about quite a bit with it. I have my mortgages (3 of them ) on there and update every month, very satisfying :T

Well ive just read all 15 pages of this, right from the beginning!

You have inspired me to do something about my mortgage. I bought my first house last november and have a mortgage of 121,000 and havent overpaid at all yet. Me and my OH have also got a large combined income and could easily overpay by a few hundred a month without scrimping or saving but im now willing to go further than that and really record it all and keep the motivation high.

Thanks for an excellent read and i'll be following this thread closely.

I wondered how you have managed to work out the total interest saved and months saved??

    Hi QB

I have a speadsheet that compares what actually happens to the mortgagte compared to what would of happened to the mortgage if I hadn't OPd.

    very motivating!

Anyone agree I should post my stats for a rolling previous 12 months?

  • Boiler seems to be OK atm - hopefully it will keep going. Especially given the heating won't be used until the end of the year.

Have decided I will post the stats on a rolling 12 month basis - or the post will become significantly long. I will put a total analysis in post #1 in anyone is interested (no pun intended :p)
