Going to Abbey Lodge. Not particularly cheap but can't wait for the hot tub in the freezing cold!!
Will report back and let you know if we feel it was good value;)0 -
Hi, Just back yesterday from 4 nights at Abbey View Lodges in Leiston, Suffolk. We really enjoyed it. Fantastic spotless, comfortable, well-equipped lodge. Huge bathroom with shower, jacuzzi, and own sauna. The outside hot tub was out of this world. Maintained at 39/40c all the time so hot tub in the middle of the night, in the snow etc etc!
Position was near Leiston, which is nothing special as a town but Lodge area extremely quiet with footpath leading to ruined Abbey and lots of local walks - to Minsmere, Sizewell beach etc. Very well situated for Southwold, Walberswick, Dunwich, Aldeburgh etc.
Our best day was an 8 mile circular walk from the lodge, with a pub stop and then back to have bubbly in the hot tub!!
We couldn't find any faults. If you want peace and quiet, comfortable accommodation and a brilliant private hot tub and sauna, I would totally recommend.
Not for those wanting noise and entertainment laid on though!!!

I have booked 3 times with hoseasons and stayed in lodges twice in Yorkshire and last year in Derbyshire. All the lodges were of outstanding quality and very very clean. I would definately book again through hoseasons.0

We stayed at Farweather Grange in Yorkshire booked through Hoseasons.
We took our dog and it was lovely. Really peaceful - there are only about 6 or 8 lodges in total Iif I remember correctly and lots of lovely walks with the dog. The lodge had an outdoor hot tub, indoor large jacuzzi bath and an indoor sauna off the bathroom and a lovely 4 poster bed and log burner.
Wasnt particularly cheap but I'd definately recommend it!
