I would think just the basic £60.50 for I.S
then CTC for the 3 kids

    Plus CB.

I work the CTC to be for 3 kids

    £1315.38 / 9 (weeks until end of tax year) = £146.15

    CB £20 + £13.20 + £13.20 = £46.40

    I.S £60.50

    60.50 + 46.40 + 146.15 = £253.05 is the weekly income from I.S, CTC and CB that I get.

Though there may be 10 weeks to end of tax year, but that doesnt make a huge difference.

Gosh Looking at those figures thats over a grand a month!! (4 weeks)

Would you pay full rent and council tax on that amount of money?
Or would it be excluded due to being benefits?
  • Hi thanks for your reply,

I am not sure about the rent, I have just recently seperated my rent will be 625 per month with no rent free weeks.

You could use entitledto (though I dont trust it) to find out about the rent.
    Are you council/private?

even while getting near £150 per week CTC?
Would that income not be taken into account plus the CB?
  • If she is claiming IS she should be also entitled to LHA. The op has 3 children which makes her ctc and cb payments quite high iyswim. She should be also entitled to Council tax benefit.

edit woodbine beat me to it

    aahhh, was just wondering.
    Learn something new everyday.

So .. Due to I.S the income from CTC and CB are not taken into account for HB/LHA and CT?

But if you work on a low income CTC/WTC and CB is taken into account for HB/LHA and CT?
  • Thats right IS is a passported benefit so you are entitled to the max HB and CTB and the IS over rides the other icome.

Yes if your on a low income CTC/WTC is taken into account for HB and CTB.
