  • Hey guys feel your pain have been unemployed since august. I have experience in IT, telecoms, customer services (phone monkey when I left uni) and industrial painting in my early 20s. Because I did what the government asked and became flexible in the employment I have taken my CV reads like I dont know what the heck I want to do. I have applied for over a 100 jobs with no success and am in the middle of preparing 3 different CVs for different job types. The problem im having is when I take out my IT/Telecoms experience to apply for factory jobs or when I take out my painting/industrial experience to apply for IT/Telecoms jobs there are huge gaps that look Ive been sat on my !!! for years. Guess ill just have to lie and hope I dont get found out.....Not happy having to tell lies but its tough out there

  • I phoned 11 agencies yesterday and not one had work.I am a driver but am prepared do anything but they said they do not even have things like warehouse work.Every company seems to be on hold until the new tax year in april at least.
  • taking a minimum wage job maybe a good 'start', but that will leave me even worse off, and than i will have to make time to look for a 'proper' job..

I'm looking for a new job and I often don't get replies either which confusing me, I am employable as I have experience. I have just applied for the local supermarket, not my dream job, but money is money.

There isn't MUCH out there, but there is a few. Remember most jobs are not advertised.

More so at the moment, because if they do advertise, they get swamped.

And with some many applications they can be picky.
