  • I have been trying to book a hotel with Tesco vouchers but the system seems very difficult, time consuming and expensive. You have to ring a premium rate number to check availibility and price, send off for the vouchers and then ring the number again to confirm the booking. I suspect they are making quite a bit on the wasted calls!

Has anybody got any tips for making the process easier, which chains are best and what the prices are like? I'm looking for somewhere rural or even coastal approx 50-100 miles from Birmingham, so any suggestions appreciated.

    TIA

easiest way is to just change your vouchers before you call the company who you want to book with - that way you only have to call them once, and then send your vouchers to them

you can change your vouchers online via the tesco site, so its only a 2min job, and no hastle at all

the t&c on the clubcard website tells you which rates you can use the vouchers against, so again a quick check of the hotels website should give you a rough idea of price (add on a few quid incase they do online discount) and availability

your best chance of getting the room/dates you want is to book well in advance, go out of season, and avoid dates around events that might be going on in that area

    what the prices are like?

expect to pay at least £200 per room for a 2 night stay (so you will need over £50 of clubcard vouchers)

  • Hi all, newly registered today but have been reading the forums with interest for weeks now!

Anyway hoping you might be able to help me out here. I vaguely reading a Tescos thread a while ago which contained a link in one of the posts to a list of current grocery promotions and which items were BOGOF or were offering bonus Clubcard points. Been trawling back through various threads to look for it without any success so far.

Anyone know what the link is?

Thanks for your help in advance ;)
  • Hi Sweets, I think this might be the link you're looking for, http://supermarketspecialoffers.com/TescoPointOffers.aspx
It certainly lists most of the points offers and I'm sure it will point you in the right direction for BOGOFS too.

just been contacted by Tesco after I had emailled them regarding my 500 bonus points re: clothing deal on here.

They said only 66 points were credited to the account. Just wondering if anyone else had received their 500 bonus points?

You may still get them. What did it say on the T & C of the offer - that you would get in time for the next mailing!??
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard

in time for the next mailing it said, but Tesco CS said I was only entitled to 66 points and not 566

I've not rec'd mine yet either, think these type of points get added on in the last few days before mailing. If you log in to your tesco clothing account, order history and then view your order, it should list the vouchers on the bottom under promotions so you will see that voucher and how many points should be getting added.
