Killed my Samsung J700 on Orange
I entered a code into my phone from the tinterweb saying that it will remove the service provider lock. Although it has removed all the locks, it has zeroed my EMEI number and also the bluetooth one I think. It was an EEPROM reset. The local phone repaired wont do it because he says its illegal to change the EMEI number. He said it has to be returned back to samsung. Its stupid that just by entering a code in your phone, you basically wipe it out. It wont connect to any networks because a 0 EMEI is blocked
So who do I send it back to? Orange or Samsung? its older than 28 days so Play wont want to know. The J700 is not an expensive phone in the first place so i dont want a bill for it because I could probably just replace the handset for the repair cost. What should I do? Act dumb and send it back to Samsung?

Orange won't be able to fix it they don't have the equipment, it'll have to go back to Samsung.
Whatever you do Samsung will know what you've done, the problems with this method are well known...
I'm sorry I can't be more help...0
