I have been searching round for Life Insurance & Critical Illness cover, and have been given a very reasonable quote by Lifesearch.co.uk on behalf of Legal & General, the only trouble is I have never heard of them. I have searched through a few threads on this forum but no one seems to mention them. I would be grateful if any one could shed light on this company.
Many Thanks,
Many Thanks,

Lifesearch are a company that set up policies on behalf of L&G.
I work for L&G and see many policies that have been set up by them, so they're not a scam company if that's what you mean.
That's assuming there's not more than one lifesearch about.0 -
Lifesearch is a reputable life insurance broker, check out their details on the FSA register:http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/firmBasicDetails.do?sid=1078950

Thanks to everyone for the info, I checked them out earlier on FSA and feel more at ease now. I will take up their offer as this was much more competitive than Scottish Widows and Norwich Union. Glad I asked for your views.0

check whether you are obtaining the policy with advice or without adviceAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

LifeSearch are a major life broker and they will only sell with advice. Make sure you always get an advised sale, as too many life policies are sold without advice and turn out to be the wrong thing.0

Perhaps they need a bit more business at the moment as they are quietI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
I've just searched here for 'Lifesearch' and come across this thread.
Basically I have a life insurance through LV, taken through Asda services from a leaflet picked up in store. Now this guy has emailed me, seems to know my current policy details, asking why I took it out for the value I did and asking me some other questions. I have engaged with him as I need new insurance. The old insurance was taken out when I was single in a old house. It was to pay off the house to make sure my parents had no problems with paying for stuff on my behalf.
Since then I am married, have 1 child and live in a bigger house. I have a work life insurance which covers me plenty, but my wife has nothign which we would like to address. If anything happened to her I couldn't afford to not work, although I would like some time off to look after my young child rather than farm him off to childcare / relatives.
I'm about to give him some personal medical details, then I thought - who is this guy? how did he get my current insurance details?!!
Anyone have any ideas? Surely LV don't sell or pass on my details which could potentially lose them customers?0
